“With Every Step You Take”

by Dona Hake

Proverbs 3:5-6   Easy-to-Read Version

Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge.

With every step you take, think about what he wants,

and he will help you go the right way.

Trust does not always come easy, especially when we feel our backs are up against the proverbial wall.   Yet if we read this scripture very carefully we can deepen our revelation of what trust is.    “With every step you take, think about what he wants…”   Sometimes the easiest thing to do is turn to our own thoughts and understanding in our life.    We can be guilty of only looking to the Lord when trials start to heat up in our day.    May we learn to be conscious of His loving hand that desires to direct our day….every minute of it.    I recently experienced a very simple problem that I could not figure out what to do to resolve it.  I could have gotten online and do some reading, but I desired to just rest in this very small matter, and I was amazed how the Lord showed me the answer to that simple problem.    I delight in my heart to know that He cares about the smallest of things in my life.

God has blessed us with intelligence, creativity  and know how but let us always be mindful to lean upon Him even in the smallest of matters that He is able to guide our paths.  Today I encourage you to learn of Him and lean on Him!  With every step you take lean upon Him!
