“There’s Power In the Blood!”

power in the blood

by Dona Hake

 “Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?

There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow;
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the precious blood of the Lamb.”

Lyrics from “There’s Power In the Blood”

by Lewis E. Jones

I love this old hymn because it challenges my heart to remember that Jesus did what no one else could do for us.  Today I encourage you to remember that your heart can be whiter than snow because of what He did at the cross.  May we celebrate this day and every day that we were set free from the bondage of sin as He gave His life upon the cross for us.   Because He lives we can face our today and every tomorrow in the strength and power of all that He is!

Psalm 103:12 (CJB)
“He has removed our sins from us
as far as the east is from the west.”

Lord, we thank You that You have redeemed up with Your precious blood.  Oh that we would never lose sight that as You forgive our sins that You forget them.   May we ponder knowing that our sin stains are lost in the life giving flow as Your blood was shed for us.   May we also be mindful to freely give forgiveness to those that
may offend or hurt us in this life.   We thank You that by Your grace You empower us to live and walk as You walked. In Jesus Name, amen!
