    “Work and Rest”
The Lord desires to give us rest and be our Oasis.   It is vitally important to learn how to rest in our souls. Every part of us needs to experience rest… Spirit, soul, and body.    As we yoke up with Jesus He will carry the heavy load. We must learn to walk and move along with Jesus. We must pace ourselves and keep in sync with Him. Move when He moves. Stop when He stops.   We must endeavor to keep our eyes on Him at all times!
God‘s way is to go to Him for total rest that we may live a life of work.   Yoke up with Jesus, and do the work of the Lord!

    “The Ministry of Healing”
Today we learned how the gift of healing is tangible and it is by degree. There is a transfer and release of this gift and it is by faith and the contact that is made by the vessel being used. One must be dedicated and committed to prayer if they are called to be used as a vessel in the gift of healing. All glory must go to God when one is used in this precious gift of healing. One must be very cautious that the sin of pride does not enter in when being used in the gift of healing.   It is important that we press into God, and depend solely upon Him for every need that we have, and not look to our own ability.

    “Son, Friend, Servant”
Today we learned to relate to Jesus as Son, Friend, and a Servant.   The criteria for our friendships is to share in this life.   In any relationship we must share purpose.
We learned to live a life of serving for  this is when we experience true joy.  Sometimes the realm of being a servant is simply doing what He desires of us to do. We need to do ALL  as doing it onto Him. The Lord sees the servant's heart when others do not notice.
As we looked as  Jesus the Son we looked at how He changed us...He transformed us by His glory.

    “The Healing Annointing, Part 2”
Today in Bible study we heard God's Word on the healing anointing.     Living as good stewards over our bodies we must be diligent to take care of them that we may live healthy.     There may be times though that we become sick due to weakness, stress, etc.    It should bring consolation to our hearts that the Lord is able to heal our bodies for it is His provision to us.
Today we received God's Word how we can  live with expectation that the gift of healing can flow to us and through us.   Faith, hope, love and  fervent prayer is what will activate this precious gift within us.  May we live expecting to receive healing whenever we are in need.

    “Recovered from Satan’s Snare”
Today our text was from 1 Timothy 2:24
    *  It is vitally important that we understand that the  devil will seek to deceive us and lead us into the very snare that brought him down.
    *  We received wisdom in this teaching how to correctly communicate with people.  We cannot try and make people see what we want them to see just because we embrace a particular truth.   Arguing is not God’s way of leading people to the truth.
    *  Beware, when you oppose truth, the devil will be able to manipulate and use you as he wills.  Even the believer can be manipulated by the devil if he is not watching over his soul, and keeping his heart with all diligence.
    *  The Lord is instructing us here how to handle, react, etc., to those that oppose themselves, and those that have set themselves totally against God.
    *  True freedom will always come as we give  up our thoughts for His. This is the humility we need to walk in,  and as we do we will walk in repentance as we acknowledge the truth of God‘s Holy Word.

    Aug 12, 2018
    “The Gift of Faith”
Today we learned that God‘s miracles are always for His purposes.  In 1 Kings 17  Elisha operated in the gift of faith and proclaimed that there would be no dew or rain as he  took authority over the elements.
    *  We learned from Elijah's life that for God to do greater works in us, there must be a deeper work done within us.
    *  God took Elijah to complete helplessness in order for him to be humbled, and come to a complete trust in God for every one of his needs.
    *  God told Elijah to hide himself.  This is an example to us that God’s hiding is His preparation in us to blossom in His will.
    *  Elisha was then sent into the refining fire (a place called Zeraphath) God was going after his pride.  Pride will always keep us out of the perfect will of our Lord, and our loving God will deal with our hearts as we permit Him to.
    *  Elijah learned to rise to God’s level that he could be used in the miraculous.  This lesson can help us to grow in the revelation of how God desires to do the miraculous in our lives for His glory and purposes.  There is power in simple obedience and humility that God's will may be done in us.
